Program to Reduce the Use of Paper and Plastic on Campus

Organic Waste Treatment
1. Waste sorting management
Different types of waste bins for disposal are as follows:
Red bin = Red bin accommodates waste that is harmful to living things and the environment, such as fluorescent lamps, medicine bottles, batteries, spray paint cans, insecticide cans, containers for various hazardous substances.
Yellow bins = Yellow bins accommodate the waste that can be recycled or sold, such as glass, paper, plastic, metal.
Blue bin = Blue bins support non-biodegradable waste, which is waste that is non-toxic and not worth recycling, such as candy wrappers, instant noodles, sachets, plastic bags, food-stained foam, and aluminum foil.
Inorganic Waste Treatment
1. Treatment of inorganic waste.
The university has a process for separating different types of waste. Some of the inorganic waste that is still usable will be recycled and some that is not will be sold to commercial families who have a legitimate business license to handle recyclable materials. This is passed through a correct and environmentally friendly destruction process, thereby raising awareness among users and citizens about collection and recycling.
2. The university recycles leftover scraps and uses the funds to purchase and maintain lawnmowers to be used to mow lawns within the university.
